West Park was established in 2001 with the purpose of creating a market in the US for some of the most soulful and meaningful Italian wines we ever tasted, and for their talented producers. Our founding principle is that the wines have to be authentic, small farm, high quality products mostly (unjustly?) unknown to wine lovers on this side of the Atlantic Ocean . We personally scout the land, befriend the producers and are brought to discover wines that are always typical, often unusual, never mass-produced. In fact, at West Park we feel that we can’t represent a wine with due enthusiasm and energy unless we are thoroughly familiar with the place, we develop competence of several vintages, and unless we can call their producers personal friends of ours.

At West Park we know that we are fortunate to be able to work with unique and precious wines, so we treat them with the utmost respect. All our wines are shipped and warehoused in a quiet and secure environment under strictly controlled temperature. Commercially, we carefully plan their distribution according to their limited quantity and their intrinsic nature, and as our market crosses new state borders, we constantly look forward to enlarging our portfolio in order to serve an increasingly bigger number of West Park aficionados from Connecticut to Florida .

Luca Mazzotti, founder of West Park Imports, was born and raised in Italy . He was a college faculty member at University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University , the wine editor at “The Magazine of La Cucina Italiana”, and a member of the Society of Wine Educators. He has received various degrees from wine education institutions in the US and Europe .
